How to get here

​

 Historic 19th Century Chateau

​

The 19th Century Chateau is elegantly furnished and fully equipped to the highest standards, whilst retaining its original charm; with tiled floors, ornate ceilings and period woodwork. It offers spacious and luxurious accommodation.

  Twin or double with en-suite  £1500 per person  (£1550 single supplement) 

​

Please note these rooms are reached by a steep spiral staircase.

Coach House
  Twin or double with en suite -£1425 per person  ( 1475 single supplement) 

The bedrooms upstairs are reached by a very steep wooden staircase.

There is a ground floor room with wheelchair access.

Studio

​

2 double rooms above the yoga studio with a shared bathroom- £1375 

Please note that the rooms in the studio are reached by a spiral staircase.

How to get here

By Train

There are direct TGV trains from PARIS CHARLES de GAULE, Roissy to Angers (St Laud) and also from PARIS MONTPARNASSE in the centre of Paris

The train takes 1½ hours to ANGERS.

You can also travel to Tours and then take another short train ride to Saumur. 

Transfer time to Château de la Vigne by car from:

ANGERS (St Laud)Approx 35 mins

Car Hire is easily available at Angers and Saumur Train stations.

By air

Scheduled and Budget airlines provide easy access to Château de la Vigne by air.

  • EasyJet and British Airways

  • London Gatwick to NANTES

  • Ryan Air

  • London (Stanstead) to Tours

  • London (Stanstead) or Dublin to TOURS

  • Scheduled flights to PARIS; direct TGV trains to Angers from the airport terminal (no need to go into the centre)

Please note there is no public transport from the airports. We recommend you arrange car hire from the airport terminal.

GPS or Satellite Navigation Instructions: We are located on the D960 in Concourson-sur-Layon, Maine et Loire.

Once in CONCOURSON-sur-LAYON

When you arrive at Concourson-sur-Layon from the direction of Angers or Saumur, go through the village and over the bridge, crossing the River Layon. Immediately after the river (approx 200m), take the next turning on the right.

If you are arriving from the opposite direction of Cholet, turn left before you enter Concourson-sur-Layon. If you've reached the bridge, you've gone too far!

  • The CHATEAU entrance is at the first black gate on the left-hand side.

For the COACH HOUSE and FARM COTTAGE, continue to the second black gate on the left-hand side. As you enter, the Coach House is the first property on the left and Farm Cottage is the second property on the left.

  • The property directly opposite as you enter is Walnut Cottage and is occupied by the owners when on site.

Arrival and Departure

Arrival Day 

​

Arrival at Chateau de la vigne is after 11 am on Sunday and lunch will be served for guests that have already arrived.

 

You are invited to make yourself at home, become acquainted with other guests, unpack, explore and relax by the pool if you wish.

​

A pre-dinner toast with welcome chat and orientation activities.

Departure Day 

Departure from Chateau de la Vigne must be before 10.30 am on Saturday and transfers can be arranged for you.

 Breakfast will be served before you depart.
